My friends recently told me about a movie that they saw…I forgot what it was called, but it was a documentary, following around heroin addicts. What struck me is that there was this one woman who would pose as a hooker to get people into bed, and before she did anything, pulled out a badge, and told the guy that she was a cop.
Her “client” was appropriately freaked out, and she’d tell them that if he’d ‘donate’ some funds, she’d overlook it.
I think that’s freaking brilliant.
Not that I’m encouraging anyone to go out there and do the same, and I know I’m probably going to get backlash for this, but wow…what a great way to get some quick cash without sacrificing yourself.
Sometimes I do think that junkies are geniuses. They have to come up with the wildest stuff in order to keep their habit alive. Imagine if they channeled that energy into something worthwhile…
What an awesome place this world would be.
